ROLE SUMMARY The Commercial Manager is responsible for managing the commercial performance of the bakery, pastry, deli, and dairy departments. The role focuses on driving sales, improving profitability, and ensuring strong product availability while maintaining high standards of freshness, quality, and food safety. It includes planning promotions, managing stock and suppliers, controlling waste, and analyzing sales performance. ROLE PROFILE Develop and execute category strategies to grow sales, market share, and customer loyalty across fresh food departments. Define pricing, promotion, and assortment strategies based on customer insights, seasonality, and market trends. Optimize category profitability through margin management, waste reduction, and cost control initiatives. Lead demand forecasting and inventory strategy to balance availability, freshness, and stock efficiency. Build and manage supplier partnerships to secure quality products, competitive pricing, and innovation pipelines. Analyze market performance and KPIs to identify growth opportunities and drive data-led decisions. Drive customer experience strategy through product presentation, freshness standards, and in-store execution. Align cross-functional teams (operations, supply chain, marketing) to deliver consistent commercial execution and business targets.
