About this role
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing daily accounting, accounts payable/receivable and financial records.
- Reviewing bank, mobile money and account reconciliations.
- Coordinating payments and monitoring cash requirements.
- Ensuring timely statutory filings and tax compliance.
- Preparing routine monthly financial reports and management schedules.
- Supervising and supporting junior finance team members.
- Maintaining audit-ready documentation and coordinating audit requirements.
- Improving finance processes, systems and documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
- CPA qualification required; CPA(K) preferred.
- 3–5 years’ relevant accounting/finance experience, preferably in a growing SME or multi-project environment.
- Strong experience in bookkeeping, reconciliations, AP/AR and statutory compliance.
- Experience supervising junior finance staff or interns.
- Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Good understanding of Kenyan tax and statutory requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, financial discipline and ability to work independently.
