Job Purpose Responsible for providing transport services in an effective and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities/ Duties / Tasks An officer at this grade will undertake the following duties and responsibilities: Driving the organization’s vehicles as authorized; Carrying out routine checks on the assigned vehicle and reporting any malfunction of vehicle systems and other occurrences; Maintaining the movement of work tickets for vehicle(s) assigned; Maintaining security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road; Reporting all accidents and incidents promptly to the relevant IPOA offices; Administering first aid in the event of an accident; and Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle. Knowledge, Experience and qualifications required For appointment to this grade, an officer must have the following qualifications: KCSE mean grade of D (Plain) or its equivalent qualification; At least two years’ proven driving experience; Valid driving license; Suitability Trade Test for Drivers; First-Aid Course Certificate lasting not less than one (1) week from Kenya Institute of Highway and Building technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized Institution; A valid certificate of good conduct; Proficiency in Computer Applications; and Practical test for drivers conducted by the ministry responsible for transport or conducted by AA of Kenya. go to method of application »
