Job Overview The School Driver shall be responsible for safely transporting learners to and from school, educational trips, and other authorized activities, while upholding the highest standards of safety, punctuality, and professionalism. The driver shall also assist in identifying and reporting mechanical issues promptly and provide basic support in ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained and in good working condition. Job Description Operate school buses or other designated vehicles in a safe and lawful manner in accordance with traffic regulations and school transport policies. Ensure the safety of all learners at all times, particularly when boarding and alighting from the vehicle. Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition. Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities. Monitor learner behavior during transit to ensure adherence to safety protocols and the maintenance of a respectful and orderly environment. Strictly follow established pick-up and drop-off schedules. Ensure proper care, cleanliness, and basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle. Maintain accurate transport records including mileage, fuel usage, and trip logs. Perform any other duties as may be assigned within the school from time to time. Job Requirements Must possess valid driving licenses D1, D2, and D3 Proven experience as a driver (school environment experience will be an added advantage) Basic knowledge or hands-on experience in mechanical engineering/vehicle maintenance Minimum education level needed Certificate in any related field. Good communication and interpersonal skills Valid Certificate of Good Conduct High level of discipline, responsibility, and reliability Ability to work under minimal supervision End Date: 31st July 2026
